This week, I had the pleasure of visiting Bascom Hunter Technologies, Inc., a leading high-tech engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in aerospace and defense systems. With five locations nationwide and a workforce of 144 employees, including 22 based right here in O’Fallon, the company continues to play an important role in advancing innovation and supporting our national defense.

During my visit, I had the opportunity to learn more about the cutting-edge work happening across their operations. Bascom Hunter Technologies develops and manufactures a wide range of advanced systems, including thermal management solutions for aircraft and electronics, RF and SATCOM technologies, photonics, electronic components, and sophisticated signal processing systems. Their capabilities also extend to advanced testing and engineering services that are critical to modern defense applications.

The O’Fallon facility stands out as a key hub within the company’s national footprint, which also includes locations in Louisiana, Maryland, and Arizona. Serving as both a manufacturing and engineering center, the Missouri site supports electronics production, system development, and testing tied to critical defense programs. With Boeing expanding its presence in the Missouri region as well, the area is well-positioned to strengthen its capacity for sustained economic growth, job creation, and continued innovation.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Bascom Hunter Technologies represents the kind of forward-thinking, high-skilled industry that drives economic development, while enhancing our national security. It was an honor to see firsthand the impressive work being done and to meet the talented team behind it. We are fortunate to have them in Missouri, and I look forward to seeing their continued growth and success.
