| DISTRICT SPOTLIGHT: COALITION TO PROTECT THE MISSOURI RIVER |
It was an honor to attend the 2026 Missouri River Navigators Meeting this past Thursday in Jefferson City. I had the opportunity to receive updates and discuss key issues with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the United States Coast Guard (USCG), and various state agencies, as we prepare for the 2026 Missouri River navigation flow support season. As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and as a representative of communities along the Missouri River, I focused on two priorities: advancing WRDA provisions important to the Missouri River (the Water Resources Development Act, which addresses rivers, dams, flood control, navigation, and other critical water infrastructure projects), and ensuring the Missouri River continues to receive the attention it deserves at the federal level. I want to recognize the remarkable coordination and effort it takes for the Coalition to Protect the Missouri River to keep our river open and ready for business. Every successful navigation season is built on careful planning, collaboration, and dedication, qualities that were demonstrated by every person in the room. Their commitment to the Missouri River, and to the communities and industries that rely on it, was truly impressive. Meetings like this are a perfect example of effective governance. Bringing together industry leaders, federal and state agencies, and elected officials before the beginning of the navigation season allows us to identify potential challenges, share data, and coordinate effective solutions. Thank you to everyone who works tirelessly to keep the Missouri River moving. I look forward to a strong and successful 2026 navigation season, and I will continue to do my part in Washington to advance critical legislation at the federal level. |
| MY GUEST FOR THE STATE OF THE UNION: CHLOE COLE |
On Tuesday, I will be attending President Trump’s State of the Union address, and I am honored to welcome Chloe Cole as my guest. Chloe is a courageous young woman who has become a leading voice in the effort to end transgender prescriptions and procedures for minors. As a child, she was placed on puberty blockers, given cross-sex hormones, and underwent life-altering surgery. She has since spoken publicly about the lasting impact these procedures have had on her and has dedicated herself to advocating for stronger protections for children and greater accountability within our medical system. In July 2023, Chloe testified before the House Judiciary Committee during a hearing titled "The Dangers and Due Process Violations of “Gender-Affirming Care” for Children." Her testimony was powerful and deeply moving, as she urged Congress to take action to protect vulnerable young people. |

“It is truly an honor to welcome Chloe Cole as my guest for this year’s State of the Union. Chloe is a courageous young woman who was utterly failed by the medical industry, undergoing sex‑rejecting medical interventions beginning at just 12 years old. She came to regret these decisions by age 16 and has since testified before Congress and across the country, bravely sharing her story to raise awareness about the permanent consequences of these barbaric interventions on children,” said Congressman Bob Onder. “The State of the Union is an important moment for the President to speak directly to the American people about his vision, priorities, and achievements. President Trump and his administration have prioritized ending taxpayer funding for these mutilative procedures. I am proud to champion the Chloe Cole Act to permanently protect all children like Chloe. Her presence will serve as a powerful reminder of our responsibility to protect each and every American child.” |
I had the opportunity to tour the FAA Control Tower at St. Louis Lambert International Airport and get an inside look at the heart of air traffic operations. During the visit, we explored the training simulators and tower cab while receiving an in-depth overview of live operations, radar systems, and airspace coordination. Thank you to the National Air Traffic Controllers Association for the warm welcome and for the critical work you do every day to keep our skies safe.

- I enjoyed being back at the Missouri State Capitol with former colleagues and friends in the Missouri Senate GOP, many of whom I had the privilege of working alongside during my time in the state house and state senate. I’m grateful for the opportunity to reconnect and discuss how I can continue working in Washington to serve and protect the people of Missouri.

- It was an honor to hear directly from the Secretary of War about the relocation of Boeing Defense, Space & Security headquarters alongside my House Republican colleagues in St. Louis! This move highlights Missouri’s strong industrial foundation and reinforces our state’s vital role in supporting our nation’s defense. #MO03 is proud to support companies like Boeing as they invest in our communities and create more jobs for hardworking Missourians.
